What we believe

Historic Christian faith, lived today.

Our beliefs are rooted in Scripture and centered on the unfolding story of God’s love, rescue, resurrection, and restoration.

The Bible

We believe the Bible was written by people guided by God’s Spirit. It is authoritative, inspired, illuminated by the Spirit, and useful for teaching, correction, wisdom, and faithful living in every generation.

Psalm 119:105–112 · John 16:12–14 · 2 Timothy 3:16–17

God, Creation, and Humanity

We believe in one true Creator God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God created all things good and created every person in His image for relationship with Him, with one another, with ourselves, and with creation.

Genesis 1–2 · Matthew 3:16–17 · Romans 8

Sin and Our Need for Rescue

Human rebellion fractured our relationship with God and brought sin, death, brokenness, and destruction into the world. We cannot restore ourselves; we need the rescue and reconciliation only God can provide.

Genesis 3 · Romans 5:12 · Colossians 1:21

Jesus Christ and Salvation

We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human, born of a virgin and without sin. Through His life, death, and resurrection, Jesus defeated sin and death and offers forgiveness, reconciliation, and new life to everyone who trusts Him.

John 1 · John 3:16–17 · Romans 3:22–26 · Colossians 1:15–20

The Holy Spirit and the Church

The Holy Spirit lives within believers, gives spiritual gifts, convicts, guides, comforts, and leads us into truth. The church is the local and global community of Jesus followers, called to worship, grow, celebrate baptism and the Lord’s Supper, and proclaim the good news through words and actions.

John 14:26 · Acts 1:8 · 2 Corinthians 5:16–21 · Ephesians 1:17–19

Jesus’ Return and the Restoration of All Things

We believe Jesus will return, bring an end to injustice, and restore all things to God’s original intent. Our relationships with God, others, ourselves, and creation will be whole. This is our hope, and we give our lives to living as signs of that future reality now.

Isaiah 11:1–9 · Acts 3:21 · Colossians 1:19–20 · Revelation 21

Everyone is on the edge of something.

Whatever your story and wherever you are on your spiritual journey, you are welcome at The Edge.
